Qualifications:
- Valid, active Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities, as well as diverse populations
- Proficiency in creating and updating IEPs
- Skilled at teaching in various environments—resource room, small groups, and inclusive classrooms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with other educators and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and tailored academic support to kindergarten students
- Write, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work one-on-one, with small groups, and in inclusive classroom settings
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators
- Communicate effectively with families to keep them informed and engaged
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive climate within the school
