Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification valid in Texas
- Experience with self-contained elementary caseloads strongly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to tailor instruction and accommodations to meet individual student needs
- Collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for teamwork
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Work closely with general education teachers and support personnel to coordinate services
- Maintain accurate records, assess student progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that cultivates student confidence and independence
