Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
  • Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administration
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with parents and support staff
  • Foster a classroom environment that emphasizes respect, inclusion, and positive behavior
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding goals, progress, and concerns
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
