Special Education Teacher in Ridgeland, SC

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience and knowledge in elementary/early childhood or high school (multi-categorical) special education practices (specific experience by position)
• Familiarity with developing and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to collaborate with staff, families, and support professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility, reliability, and a student-centered approach

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction, aligned with IEPs, to students with a range of learning differences
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and team members
• Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusion and support accommodations
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development as required
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
