This full-time, contract role is available for the 2026-2027 school year, offering 40 hours per week. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Special Education teaching credential applicable in South Carolina
- Experience working with moderate to severe elementary caseloads preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with fellow educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student goals and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction to students with diverse learning abilities
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to promote engagement and success for every learner
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state regulations
- Utilize progress monitoring tools and assessments to track student growth
- Foster a safe, empowering classroom environment that values each child’s strengths and potential
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to coordinate comprehensive support
- Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding progress and strategies
