Special Education Teacher in Ridgeway, VA

In these onsite roles, you will work collaboratively within a dedicated team of educators to design and implement individualized education plans, ensuring each student receives the tailored support they need. Whether guiding students from Kindergarten to 7th grade (17-student caseload) or focusing on grades 4-7 (16-student caseload), your expertise and passion will help foster a supportive and meaningful learning atmosphere.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education, or eligibility for certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience developing and executing IEPs for diverse learners.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow staff, administration, and parents.
• Previous experience in K-7 or 4-7 educational settings highly valued.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized learning plans in accordance with IEPs.
• Assess student progress and modify instructional methods as needed.
• Foster an inclusive classroom that encourages participation and engagement.
• Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and other educators.
• Maintain accurate records and actively participate in IEP meetings.
• Provide support, encouragement, and guidance to help each student reach their full potential.
