These full-time, onsite contract positions focus on delivering high-quality support and instruction to elementary and middle school learners in a dynamic school environment near Ridgeway, VA.
Current openings include:
- One position working with K-7th grade students, managing a caseload of 17 students.
- Another role supporting 4th-7th grade students, overseeing a 16 student caseload.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (state-appropriate credentials required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with diverse learning needs and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to accommodate varying learning levels
- Previous classroom experience, preferably in a school setting
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs
- Provide direct instruction tailored to students with varying abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and staff development
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
