Make a real difference in the lives of students by working as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school setting. This full-time, onsite contract begins mid-August 2026 and runs through early June 2027. Multiple openings are available, serving students with mild to moderate needs across two grade ranges: Grades 6–8 and Grades 9–12. Each educator will be responsible for a caseload of approximately 25–30 students, providing essential support during critical years of development and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Teaching License in good standing
- Special Education (SPED) Endorsement is required
- Experience supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Ability to assist with toileting needs if necessary
- Confident managing behaviors commonly associated with mild/moderate exceptionalities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collect and maintain documentation on student progress
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment
- Support the social, behavioral, and academic needs of students
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
