Special Education Teacher - Rifle, CO

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Colorado Teaching License required
• SPED Endorsement necessary
• Demonstrated experience with mild to moderate disabilities
• Comfortable addressing behavioral support within a classroom environment
• Willing and able to assist with toileting needs as required
• Passionate about fostering growth and independence in students

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately 25–30 middle and high school students, adapting lessons to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Implement effective classroom management and support strategies
• Collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, and related service providers to cultivate an inclusive, positive learning experience
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress toward IEP goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluation and goal-setting
• Support students’ transitions, social well-being, and personal growth
