Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Teaching License
  • Special Education (SPED) Endorsement required
  • Experience or comfort supporting mild/moderate behaviors
  • Willingness to assist with toileting needs if necessary
  • Commitment to full-time, onsite work for the duration of the assignment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality special education instruction and support for students in either:
    • Grades 6–8 (mild/moderate needs, caseload of approx. 25–30), or
    • Grades 9–12 (mild/moderate needs, caseload of approx. 25–30)
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education regulations
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide behavioral and personal care support as needed
