Special Education Teacher - Ringgold, Georgia

Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a contract role supporting students in a friendly and collaborative elementary school environment near Ringgold, GA. This full-time opportunity runs from July 29th, 2026, through May 21st, 2027 (including pre-planning days). You’ll work Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, focusing primarily on assisting Kindergarten to 2nd-grade students, with a manageable caseload not exceeding 10 children. There is a possibility of teaching one instructional segment in the upper grades if needed. At present, students assigned to this position do not have significant behavioral concerns, and no toileting assistance is anticipated.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active GaPSC Teaching Credential
• Possess a P-12 Special Education General Curriculum Endorsement (additional endorsements may be verified)
• Previous experience or strong commitment to teaching students with diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Organized, flexible, and eager to contribute within a team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and individualized instruction for assigned students in inclusive and small-group settings
• Collaborate with teaching teams and support staff to foster each child’s learning and development
• Monitor student progress; document and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff to support student achievement
• Maintain a supportive and positive classroom atmosphere
