This full-time position, scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, is available immediately and extends through late October 2026, with the potential to continue for the full academic year depending on evolving needs.
You’ll work closely alongside a dedicated classroom teacher as a paraprofessional, offering hands-on assistance and encouragement to students. Your role will focus on creating an inclusive environment, fostering both academic and personal growth. This class aide position does not involve toileting duties, and operates within a general education kindergarten classroom.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active GaPSC Certification required
- Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within school settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the classroom teacher in daily instructional activities
- Assist individual students or small groups in completing assignments and classroom activities
- Help maintain a welcoming, organized classroom environment
- Monitor student engagement and encourage participation
- Communicate observations about student progress to teaching staff
- Foster positive interactions and model respectful behavior
