Special Education Teacher - Rio Rico, Arizona

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with elementary or middle school students in resource settings
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

What you’ll do:

• Serve as a full-time Special Education Resource Teacher at one of the following campuses:
  • Lincoln Elementary: resource support, approximately 30 students on caseload
  • Bracker Elementary: resource support, approximately 30 students on caseload
  • Desert Shadows Middle: resource support, approximately 37 students on caseload
  • Mary L. Welty Elementary: resource support, approximately 30 students on caseload
• Develop lesson plans tailored to students’ individual learning needs
• Implement instructional strategies and interventions aligned with IEP goals
• Monitor and document students’ progress, adjusting supports as needed
• Engage in collaborative planning with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements
