What we’re seeking:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Robust experience, or a strong interest, in teaching English Language Arts at the elementary level
• Passion for differentiated instruction and inclusive education
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to meet a variety of learning needs
• Enthusiasm for fostering a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Organizational skills for managing IEP documentation and progress tracking

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver engaging ELA instruction to 3rd-6th grade students in both small group and whole-class settings
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to individual abilities and IEP goals
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, staff, and families to support student learning
• Track and report student progress, adapting methods as needed to ensure outcomes
• Create a supportive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development to stay current on best practices
• Guide students in developing key literacy skills and a positive attitude toward reading and writing
