Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students (3rd–6th grade), preferably in ELA

  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to support student success
  • Adaptability and commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning space

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver ELA instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of each student
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials for an engaging and accessible classroom
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure alignment with curriculum standards
  • Communicate regularly with families about student achievements and challenges
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and teacher meetings
