Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Valid California teaching credential with Special Education authorization
  • Experience working with students who have moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for fostering positive and welcoming classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each student’s unique needs
  • Work closely alongside general education staff to promote inclusion within the classroom
  • Continuously monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
  • Deliver direct instruction and support tailored for students across a range of disabilities
  • Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Establish positive relationships with students, families, and fellow staff members
