Special Education Teacher in Riverside, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Located near Riverside, CA, this onsite position offers the chance to empower and support exceptional learners in either moderate/severe or mild/moderate specializations. What You’ll Do:

• Design and deliver tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for your students
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers to foster inclusive classroom settings
• Regularly assess student progress and adapt instructional approaches as needed
• Provide direct instruction and specialized support to students with a range of disabilities
• Communicate consistently and effectively with students, families, and staff to share progress and address needs
• Actively engage in IEP meetings and participate as a valued member of multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate student documentation and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or closely related field (Master’s degree is advantageous)
• Current California teaching credential with Special Education authorization
• Classroom experience teaching students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and families
• Dedication to creating a supportive and positive learning environment
