Special Education Teacher in Riverside, CA

Key Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
• Valid California teaching credential authorizing work in Special Education
• Demonstrated experience working with students with moderate/severe or mild/moderate disabilities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Collaborative spirit and the ability to work thoughtfully with multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure every student receives personalized support
• Partner with general education teachers to foster inclusive classroom experiences and adapt instruction to students’ needs
• Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and inform instructional adjustments
• Deliver direct instruction and provide hands-on support to learners with a range of disabilities
• Maintain open, effective communication with families, students, and team members regarding student progress and needs
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, collaborate on multidisciplinary initiatives, and ensure timely, accurate documentation for compliance
