Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification and licensure in Special Education (required)
  • Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students, or a combination
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
  • Effective communicator comfortable collaborating with staff, parents, and support teams
  • Skilled in creating supportive, engaging, and accessible classroom environments
  • Commitment to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth for each student

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt and deliver instruction based on diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Assess student performance, set goals, and track progress
  • Work closely with families, general education teachers, therapists, and staff
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that celebrates progress and achievement
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all educational requirements
