A full-semester contract position is available for Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a diverse educational setting located in Rochester, MI. This opportunity presents multiple openings across different grade levels, including PreK-K, upper elementary, and high school classrooms.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students in special education programs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to implement co-taught classroom models, particularly in high school settings
  • Manage resource room environments to support academic progress and social development of students
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and accommodate varying learning styles
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and communicate findings with families and educational teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and compliance with special education regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with students from PreK through 12th grade, with an emphasis on resource and co-taught classrooms
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Knowledge of current special education laws and instructional strategies

Location: Rochester, MI (K-12 School Setting)
Contract Duration: Full Semester
