Special Education Teacher in Rocky Point, NC

Two exciting opportunities are available: Resource Special Education Teacher (elementary level), and Self-Contained/Adaptive Special Education Teacher (middle school level). Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license (or eligibility for North Carolina licensure)
• Experience working in resource or self-contained/adaptive settings
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners
• Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to each student’s IEP
• Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Create engaging classroom environments, promoting growth and independence
• Implement behavioral interventions and support strategies as needed
• Foster open communication with parents and guardians
• Manage classroom materials and adapt lessons for a range of learning needs
