Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Arkansas Special Education Teacher certification
  • Prior experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong understanding of both self-contained and resource classroom models
  • Ability to perform all general Special Education Teacher roles and responsibilities
  • Growth mindset, strong work ethic, and a positive, collaborative attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide tailored instruction and classroom management for a diverse range of student needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver comprehensive services
  • Effectively communicate student progress to parents/guardians and school staff
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom community that encourages academic and social growth
  • Track student data and progress to drive instruction and support student achievement
