Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching credentials in Arkansas
  • Prior experience working with IEPs and writing individual education plans
  • Ability to serve various grade levels (K-12) in either a resource or self-contained setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability
  • Growth mindset, adaptability, and a positive, collaborative attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address unique student needs
  • Adapt instructional strategies and materials to promote student engagement and academic progress
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support personnel, parents, and administrators to ensure student support
  • Advocate for students and provide a safe, supportive environment fostering social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, progress reports, and required documentation
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and on-going training
