This full-time contract opportunity is tailored for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to provide exceptional instruction in a center-based environment. You’ll work closely with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students, offering individualized support to help each learner realize their unique potential.
Your commitment will span from late August to early June, with a consistent 35-hour workweek that allows you to be fully present for each student’s journey. As part of a collaborative school team, you’ll design and implement personalized educational plans, cultivate positive classroom relationships, and foster a supportive, engaging learning space.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Previous experience with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, case management, and regulatory compliance
- Empathetic, patient, and skilled in communication with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to tailor instructional strategies to diverse learning styles and needs
