Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching credential (California certification preferred)
  • Experience working with students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
  • Ability to implement IEPs and differentiate instruction
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Experience with classroom behavior management strategies
  • Positive attitude and commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct instruction and academic support in both group and one-on-one settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Monitor and document student progress; prepare progress reports and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school-wide initiatives
  • Employ effective strategies to support students’ social, emotional, and learning goals
