Seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support an elementary inclusion classroom for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity runs from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, with the possibility of a few additional days for planning before and after the official dates. The position is located in the LaFayette, GA area and offers a rewarding chance to collaborate within established grade-level teams for student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching Educator Certification
  • Endorsement in Special Education General Curriculum
  • Experience or knowledge of inclusion classroom models preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to ensuring an accessible and positive learning environment for all students

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct special education support within an inclusion setting to a small caseload of approximately 8-9 students
  • Collaborate closely with two established education teams to plan, implement, and monitor individualized learning strategies
  • Adapt curriculum and develop resources to meet diverse student needs
  • Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and partner with families, specialists, and administrators to support student goals
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to Special Education
