Special Education Teacher in Rossville, GA

Make an immediate impact in the lives of middle school students by supporting their academic and personal growth in an inclusive setting. Two full-time Special Education Teaching positions are available in a supportive, collaborative school environment, beginning with pre-planning at the end of July and continuing through the academic year.

Available Roles:

• 6th Grade: Co-teaching Math and Science for a group of approximately 10–12 students.
• 7th/8th Grade: Co-teaching ELA and Science for a similar-sized caseload.

Both roles are inclusion settings, working alongside general education teachers, and focusing on students eligible under Autism, OHI, SLD, MID, and EBD. Most students are able to succeed in a co-taught environment and do not require significant behavioral interventions. No toileting or diapering responsibilities are involved.

Position Details:

• Contract position, full-time (37.5–40 hours/week)
• School year runs August 5th–May 21st, with required SPED teacher training on July 29th and pre-planning July 31st–August 4th
• Regular hours: 7:45am–3:45pm

Qualifications:

• Active GaPSC Special Education Consultative P-12 Teaching Endorsement is required
• Classroom or co-teaching experience in special education preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt and respond to diverse student needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
