Special Education Teacher - Rossville, GA

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active Special Education GaPSC Certification required, with SPED content through 8th grade
• Adapted Curriculum Endorsement (or willingness/ability to obtain)
• Consideration given to candidates with pending credentials
• Demonstrated experience working in self-contained, functional or lower-functioning special education settings
• Strong collaboration skills with instructional teams and paraprofessionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver adapted and functional curriculum to high school students in a self-contained classroom
• Provide individualized instruction and differentiated activities based on each student’s IEP and academic needs
• Manage classroom routines and ensure a safe, structured learning environment
• Guide and mentor two paraprofessionals and collaborate with a Registered Behavior Technician
• Collect and maintain data on student progress; assist in IEP meetings and required reporting
• Foster strong communication with families and the school team
