Special Education Teacher in Rossville, GA

An experienced Special Education Teacher is needed for a full-time, contract position within a Pre-K program serving children aged 3 to 5. This opportunity involves working with students who have a range of needs and often require creative approaches, patience, and a nurturing spirit.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching Certificate
• Endorsements in both Special Education and General Education for Pre-K age groups
• Previous experience working with children ages 3-5 in special education settings is highly desirable
• Familiarity with supporting non-verbal or minimally verbal students
• Comfort assisting with toileting/diapering and feeding routines
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to Pre-K students utilizing evidence-based practices
• Adapt curriculum and activities for children with differing abilities, supporting their growth and learning
• Assist with all aspects of daily living activities, including toilet training, diapering, and feeding as needed
• Implement behavioral support strategies and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), running through late May 2027, located in a supportive school environment.
