Special Education Teacher | Roswell, New Mexico

You’ll have the chance to participate in thorough new teacher orientation starting July 22nd. Staff officially begins on July 27th, and the school year kicks off August 3rd—providing you with ample time to connect, learn, and prepare for success. In this role, you’ll primarily support students in a resource room setting, working hands-on with a caseload of approximately twenty students.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized and small group instruction in math and reading
• Providing content mastery and targeted academic interventions
• Collaborating with general education teachers by pushing into classrooms to support inclusion
• Writing, implementing, and updating IEPs in alignment with student goals
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies to support growth
• Fostering a welcoming and affirming learning environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching credentials (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with middle school-aged learners
• Strong skills in resource and inclusion models
• Passion for supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social success
• Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive communication style

This contract offers competitive hourly compensation within the range of $32-$40, allowing you to make a difference while being recognized for your expertise and dedication.
