This full-time, in-person contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, at a vibrant educational setting near Round Lake, IL. As a Resource Room Teacher, your expertise will ensure students receive personalized instruction and the encouragement they deserve to thrive.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active and valid Professional Educator License (PEL) – please be prepared to provide a copy upon request
• Proven experience working within special education settings, ideally as a resource room teacher
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Ability to collaborate closely with fellow educators, specialists, students, and families
• Passion for helping each student meet their educational and developmental goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement IEPs by working closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Track student progress, adapt lessons, and maintain accurate documentation
• Create a supportive, structured, and engaging learning atmosphere
• Serve as a resource to general education teachers through co-planning and consulting
• Regularly communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
