Special Education Teacher in Round Lake, IL

This full-time, in-person position focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support within an instructional/resource setting for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL); please be prepared to provide a current copy upon request
• Previous experience teaching special education or working in SPED instructional/resource classrooms highly desired
• Strong commitment to differentiated instruction and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for students with varying learning needs in a resource or instructional capacity
• Develop, modify, and implement IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster an inclusive, engaging, and structured classroom environment that encourages academic and social growth
• Track student progress, maintain organized records, and regularly communicate updates with families and team members
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and administration to ensure comprehensive student support
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community

This contract position starts August 17, 2026 and concludes May 27, 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of approximately 33.25 hours.
