Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please submit a copy upon application.
- Certification and experience as a Special Education Teacher, with a passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
- Previous experience in life skills self-contained or instructional/resource settings preferred, but not required.
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and classroom management.
- Ability to create an inclusive, positive learning environment for all students.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to students with special needs, adapting lessons and materials for each learner.
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, administrators, and related service staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Foster a safe, encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development workshops, and school initiatives.
