Special Education Teacher - Round Lake, Illinois

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification in Special Education, meeting all state licensing requirements
• Experience working with preschool-aged children, especially in an inclusive or blended setting
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with other educators and support staff
• Patience, creativity, and genuine passion for fostering growth in early childhood learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of your students in collaboration with the general education teacher
• Create and adapt lesson plans that support both academic and social-emotional development
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation for IEPs and student progress
• Work closely with paraprofessionals to facilitate a positive and productive classroom environment
• Cultivate relationships with families, ensuring open communication about student development and strategies for ongoing support
