Special Education Teacher | Round Rock, Texas

This contract role offers opportunities in a behavioral classroom, a special education classroom, as well as a general education math classroom. For the math classroom position, dual credentials in special education and mathematics are required. With a start date of July 21, 2026 and an end date of May 21, 2027, you’ll play a key role in providing structure, guidance, and support throughout the academic year.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid teaching credentials in Special Education; math credential also required for the general education math classroom setting
• Experience working in behavioral, special education, and/or general education environments preferred
• Strong commitment to individualized instruction and student-centered learning
• Ability to create inclusive, positive classroom environments
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and support staff
• Flexibility and resilience within dynamic classroom settings
• Passion for advocacy and educational equity

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Deliver engaging instruction using modified curriculum and differentiated strategies
• Support behavioral, academic, and social-emotional growth
• Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring for all assigned students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom community
