Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction tailored to individual student needs in your assigned classroom type (self-contained, co-teaching, or resource)
• Write, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with related service providers and families
• Manage caseloads effectively, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local special education requirements
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes student engagement and growth
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff
• Track student progress and communicate achievements and challenges with families and team members
• Use evidence-based strategies to support diverse learners in academic and functional skill development

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for Texas or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in one or more classroom types: self-contained, co-teaching, or resource preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and case management
• Effective communication, team collaboration, and organizational skills
