Special Education Teacher | Ruffin, South Carolina

This contract position offers the opportunity to work with K-6th grade students in a variety of instructional settings—including resource, push-in, and pull-out models. With paraeducator support and a manageable caseload of 36 students, you’ll be able to focus on creating individualized learning experiences that help every child reach their potential.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary grade levels (K-6 preferred)
• Strong understanding of resource, push-in, and pull-out instructional models
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload
• Collaborative approach working alongside paraeducators and other staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and interventions in various classroom settings
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Work closely with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support integration
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and related service providers
• Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that promotes growth and engagement
