What we’re looking for:

• Active license/certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Comfort and adaptability teaching in either a General Curriculum or Adaptive Curriculum classroom
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and faculty
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

In this role, you will:

• Provide direct instruction and support tailored to each student’s needs
• Manage and oversee classroom activities for either a General or Adaptive Curriculum class
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to ensure student success and progress
• Track and document student progress towards IEP goals
• Modify instructional techniques to suit a variety of learning abilities
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute insights, and advocate for your students
