Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Previous experience in a school setting, preferably working directly with students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and evidence-based teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet a variety of student needs.
  • Commitment to patience, empathy, and student-centered practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s goals and abilities.
  • Deliver engaging, specialized instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction as necessary.
  • Work alongside general education teachers and support staff to promote a fully inclusive classroom.
  • Communicate progress and strategies with families and other stakeholders to ensure ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
