Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current state teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field; advanced degrees welcomed
- Previous experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to students’ IEPs
- Assess student abilities and develop targeted learning goals in collaboration with educational teams and families
- Modify curriculum content to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Facilitate a respectful and encouraging atmosphere for students to reach their potential
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records as required
- Partner with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and families to support student success
