Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Previous experience working with K-12 students with diverse needs
• Strong familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Adaptability to change and a student-centered mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique abilities and needs
• Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and therapists to provide consistent support
• Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate students’ learning styles
• Monitor student development, track progress, and maintain detailed records
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, fostering positive relationships and transparent progress updates
• Create a motivating and safe classroom climate that supports both academic and social-emotional growth
