Special Education Teacher | Elementary School | Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year | Near Wales, ME

Soliant is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a supportive elementary school near Wales, Maine. These full-time, onsite opportunities are ideal for educators who are passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs thrive in a structured, inclusive, and student-centered environment.

This is an onsite-only position working 37.5 hours per week during the 2026–2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in an elementary school setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Differentiate curriculum and instructional strategies to meet each student's unique learning needs
• Support students' academic, behavioral, communication, and functional skill development
• Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with special education regulations

Required Qualifications

• Active Maine 282 Special Education Teacher License required
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction and behavior support strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a self-contained special education classroom
• Experience supporting students with significant learning needs and functional skill development
• Familiarity with Functional Life Skills (FLS) programming
• Passion for fostering student growth and creating meaningful learning experiences
