Special Education Teacher in Sabin, MN

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-age students with cognitive impairments and/or autism
• Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for individualized instruction and classroom management
• Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent organizational, communication, and observation skills
• Commitment to developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)

What You’ll Do:

• Design and deliver individualized lessons that address the unique needs of each student
• Develop, review, and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a welcoming, structured, and safe classroom environment to encourage student growth
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student progress and goals
• Participate in professional development and school meetings to stay informed of best practices and resources
• Provide direct instruction, behavioral guidance, and support for communication and social skills
