Special Education Teacher | Sacaton, Arizona

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by serving as a Special Education Teacher for preschool-aged students. This full-time contract position is ideal for educators who are passionate about early childhood intervention and thrive in collaborative school environments. You’ll work closely with the Child Find team to ensure timely identification and support for students requiring specialized instruction.

Your role will center on delivering high-quality services to a dynamic caseload, which may grow to include up to 40 students split between morning and afternoon sessions throughout the school year. The work involves both direct teaching and active participation in a supportive professional community focused on student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to developing and maintaining compliant, effective IEPs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction to preschool students across AM and PM groups
• Partner with the Child Find team to develop and implement IEPs for newly identified students
• Ensure all IEPs align with student goals and legal requirements
• Conduct assessments, track progress, and maintain accurate data
• Engage in IEP meetings, planning sessions, and regular staff meetings
• Participate in dedicated professional development and planning days every Wednesday, allowing for growth and collaboration
• Maintain ongoing communication with families and service providers
