Special Education Teacher | Sacaton, Arizona

This contract opportunity offers the chance to impact preschool-aged children (3–5 years old) through specialized education and early intervention. Your expertise will be integral in supporting a growing caseload—up to 40 students by year’s end, with groups divided into AM and PM sessions—while empowering the success of every child.

In partnership with a committed Child Find team, you’ll provide high-quality, individualized instruction and help lead early identification efforts for students with special needs. The position emphasizes collaboration, consistent communication, and a genuine compassion for young children learning in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or closely related field
• Current Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
• Strong background in early childhood special education and IEP implementation
• Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Comfortable adapting instruction to meet diverse learner needs
• Enthusiasm for ongoing professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction for preschoolers across both morning and afternoon sessions
• Partner with the Child Find team to write, update, and implement IEPs for newly identified students
• Perform student assessments, monitor progress, and collect relevant data
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and planning sessions
• Take part in Wednesday professional development days—dedicated to planning, growth, and team collaboration (no student sessions on these days)
• Foster meaningful communication with families and other service providers
