Key Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement effective lesson plans tailored to each student's IEP goals
  • Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and evaluations with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Communicate regularly with students’ families, maintaining transparency and partnership
  • Foster a supportive classroom that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and a love of learning
