Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification required
  • Experience working with K-8 students in resource, self-contained, or inclusion settings
  • Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
  • Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and team members
  • Flexibility and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to meet students’ unique learning goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to support inclusive practices
  • Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning space to nurture student growth
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust lesson plans to ensure student progress
  • Maintain accurate IEP documentation and participate in meetings
  • Foster relationships with parents and guardians and provide regular updates on student achievement and behavior
