Caseload: Approximately 17 students
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher with a Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement to support students in grades K–2. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, foster student growth, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure student success in an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Provide specialized instruction aligned with student learning goals
Monitor and document student progress
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Maintain compliance with state and district special education requirements
Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
Support students’ academic, behavioral, social, and functional development
Qualifications
Valid teaching certification with Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement required
Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
