Qualifications and Background:
- Valid licensure or certification in Special Education
- Demonstrated experience with elementary-aged students, preferably in a self-contained setting
- Background working with students with autism and challenging behaviors
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly with paraprofessionals and support staff
- Commitment to individualized instruction and positive behavioral interventions
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement individualized lesson and behavior plans
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture for all students
- Lead and coordinate daily activities in collaboration with paraprofessionals
- Track and report student progress; participate in IEP meetings as necessary
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and respectful learning environment
In this travel contract, competitive compensation is offered between $85 and $90 per hour for qualified travel candidates.
