A new opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to make a difference at the elementary level. Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Teacher license with Vermont endorsement or eligibility for Vermont licensure
- Experience or familiarity with elementary school-aged children
- Strong understanding of best practices for supporting students with mild/moderate disabilities
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families, teachers, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students with mild to moderate special needs
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to address individual learning requirements
- Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other staff to facilitate integrated learning
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each student’s educational plan
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging both academic and personal growth
