Special Education Teacher - Saint Charles, Missouri

This contract opportunity features two full-time openings in a supportive and collaborative school environment, located near Saint Charles, MO. Role Highlights:

• Work a stable full-time schedule: 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch), Monday through Friday.
• Academic year runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027 (dates may adjust for weather closures).
• Manage a caseload of up to 12–24 students, split between two sessions (AM or PM in a half-day program).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily instruction tailored to students with special needs, meeting them where they are.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with each student’s IEP goals.
• Integrate IEP objectives into daily lessons and classroom routines.
• Follow prescribed curricula, monitoring and documenting student progress regularly.
• Provide detailed progress reports and goal updates three times annually.
• Prepare and execute IEPs, working collaboratively to schedule and facilitate meetings with the IEP team.
• Actively participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), ongoing professional development, and school/program initiatives.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support student learning outcomes.

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
