Bring your expertise in special education to a vibrant district with multiple full-time contract openings for the 2026–2027 school year. Positions span district-wide roles, including Assessment, Setting III/IV (Restore Program), and center-based Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classrooms at the elementary level. Contribute to meaningful progress for students by crafting individualized instruction, fostering inclusive environments, and collaborating with dedicated professionals.

Desired Background & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility for reciprocity)
  • Demonstrated skill in developing, implementing, and managing IEPs
  • In-depth understanding of IDEA and special education compliance
  • Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in at least one of the following: ASD, EBD, Setting III/IV, elementary or secondary special education, assessments, PBIS, or behavior management

Specialized Skills Sought:

  • Conducting special education evaluations, eligibility determinations, and report writing
  • Leading IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Supporting students in therapeutic or behavior-focused settings (Setting III/IV, Restore Program)
  • Implementing crisis prevention, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Using trauma-informed practices, structured teaching, and visual/communication supports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Deliver specialized instruction and behavior interventions
  • Accurately document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal laws
  • Build collaborative relationships with families, staff, and external partners
