Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification (South Carolina or eligibility for reciprocity)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred
• Prior experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities at the elementary level
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and compliance with IDEA guidelines
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills
• Genuine compassion for working with diverse learner populations

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ specific learning and behavioral needs
• Modify curriculum and employ diverse instructional strategies to maximize student engagement and success
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure cohesive educational experiences

• Monitor and record progress toward IEP goals, preparing timely reports for families and team members
