Special Ed Teacher | Saint Helen, Michigan

Make a real difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher during the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! This full-time contract position begins in late August and runs through early June, providing a consistent and rewarding opportunity to work with a dedicated team and a supportive community.

As a valued educator, you will support a center-based caseload of approximately 10 students in 3rd to 6th grade, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher required
• Experience with elementary-aged students in grades 3-6 preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset for working with school staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and intervention tailored to student needs in a center-based setting
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust instructional plans as needed
• Utilize specialized strategies and accommodations to support learning
• Foster an engaging, supportive, and motivating classroom experience
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities as appropriate
