Make a difference in the lives of exceptional learners by leading a self-contained ESE classroom in the northwestern region. As a Special Education Teacher in an elementary setting, you’ll have the opportunity to support students with varying learning levels and unique needs, fostering a nurturing and productive educational environment. This is a contracted, on-site-only position starting August 3, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Florida ESE certification required
  • K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
  • Recent experience teaching in a self-contained ESE classroom
  • Familiarity with a wide spectrum of learning differences and exceptionalities
  • Excellent classroom management and individualized instruction skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educational teams and families

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction tailored for students’ IEP goals
  • Establish a safe, inclusive, and responsive classroom environment
  • Develop lesson plans and assess student progress
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and needs
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

Additional Details:

  • Single school placement (location confirmed prior to assignment), primarily serving elementary grades
  • Must complete credentialing, including fingerprints (or verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse and JLA badge issuance)
  • Participation in an internal eligibility interview and a virtual “prescreen” interview required prior to placement
