Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (Early Childhood focus preferred)
  • Experience working with children ages 3-5 with diverse learning needs
  • Strong ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of current best practices in early childhood special education
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills for engaging with families and staff
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to meet evolving student needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction in both individual and small group settings, targeting developmental and academic goals
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and families
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages peer interaction and growth
  • Stay current with developments in special education and early childhood practices
