Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (Missouri or eligible for reciprocity)
• Previous experience with elementary-aged students, especially K-2, preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, parents, and other educators
• Flexible, compassionate, and creative approach to meeting students’ unique needs

Your Role Will Include:

• Developing and delivering individualized instruction according to each student’s IEP
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive educational experiences
• Adapting lesson plans and teaching methods to accommodate a range of abilities and learning styles
• Maintaining accurate records, assessing student progress, and updating documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for continued success
• Contributing to a positive and respectful classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages student self-advocacy
