Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Missouri Special Education Teacher credentials
• Background working with K-12 students in either a self-contained or resource environment
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Ability to manage general special education responsibilities, including classroom instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with staff and families
• Commitment to a growth mindset and maintaining a positive, solution-focused attitude
• Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to supporting students

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support and adapted curriculum to K-12 students on assigned caseload
• Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to implement accommodations and modifications
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
• Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment promoting academic and social-emotional growth
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing school initiatives
